Enclosure + Exclusion: A Visual Treatise

Susan Campbell is thrilled to be part of @DesignTOFestival 2022 with her exhibition taking place in Artscape Youngplace Hallway Galleries, July 13-July 31.

“Enclosure + Exclusion: A Visual Treatise‘’ is an exhibition which considers how urban environments are manipulated and shaped. Campbell’s practice-based research addresses forces in the property market, such as the impact of single-family zoning, loss of farmland, and real estate hoarding. Her process of apprehending inscriptions and boundary marks found on-site explores societal patterns of impermanence and exclusion perpetuated by technological developments in the production of space.

The DesignTO Festival is Canada’s largest annual celebration of design with over 100 exhibitions and events forming Toronto’s design week, January 21-30, 2022. **Please note that this particular exhibition was originally postponed until July 2022 due to COVID-19 provincial health measures.
