Membership & Benefits

Membership is available only to individual artists and not-for-profit organizations with a creative purpose.

  • Annual Individual Membership – $50+HST
  • Annual Student Membership – $25+HST
  • Annual Not-for-Profit Organizational Membership – $100+HST

Becoming a Flex Studios member gets you access to the lowest possible rental rates plus exclusive benefits for including:

  • Share your upcoming events in our members-only newsletter
  • Rush rates on last minute studio bookings
  • Networking opportunities and events
  • Social media promotions for your event via @youngplaceto
  • access to discounts with other Artscape community members

Application Process

The form asks for basic information about your past and current artistic practice and how you intend to use the Flex Studios. After your membership application has been approved you will be asked to pay your annual membership fee, which is payable by cash, cheque, Paypal or credit card. You will hear back from us on the status of your application within two business days.

How to Book a Flex Studio

To make a booking, jump to our Event Venues website and complete our booking form. We will follow up with you within 48 hours to confirm availability and the applicable rate for your rental.

All Flex Studios bookings are subject to the Flex Studios Booking Policies

Rates for the Flex Studios Membership Program have been developed based on extensive consultation with the arts community and are responsive to the need for continued access to below-market space rentals. Artscape offers a range of below-market space opportunities across its property portfolio, including artist live/work and work space for lease and purchase, gallery and exhibition space, performance and event space, and artist residencies.
