Part of the workshop series – Scissors and Blades: Papercutting with Annyen Lam and Maria Flawia Litwin, in collaboration with TYPOLOGY .
Explore the techniques of the intricate art of papercutting. Participants will learn how to cut imagery and designs using paper and a blade.
Along with hands-on demonstrations of the various methods used in papercutting, this workshop will focus on individuals’ projects in an open studio setting so that each person will be able to plan and execute their own piece. By the end of the workshop, each individual will leave with their own hand-cut paper work.

Instructor: Annyen Lam
Annyen Lam is a multi-disciplinary artist based in Toronto, Ontario. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from OCAD University (2012) as well as the Medal for Printmaking (2012). Her practice includes cut paper works, installation, lithography, screenprinting and book arts. She has exhibited throughout Canada and has participated in shows and print exchanges in Japan, Russia and Venezuela.
