AS CAST Scene Study class

February 3, 2016 @ 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm

A scene study class plus for those with professional training who want to reconnect to themselves and their acting. Our intention is to create and foster a safe environment that is about the process of discovery.
Primarily working with assigned scenes from modern and contemporary sources, Dennis Hayes and Denise Norman will be collaborating to support the actor’s connection to breath and voice, while incorporating elements of improvisation to arrive at the ‘hairy edge’ we seek as actors.
Participants will present scenes in class which will be then be further developed with the support and direction of the instructors in response to the needs, goals and learning style of the individual actors. Scene partners will perform the scene a second time after further rehearsal.

Participants are required to arrange meeting and rehearsal outside of class time with their assigned scene partners.
