Join us for an artist talk and screening of several fascinating video works by Manuel Saiz, who will be here from Berlin for the opening weekend of our fall exhibition, Of Other Faces. The project space (Rm. 302) will be open at 12 pm for those who would like to see Saiz’s work before the event. Artist talk and screening starts at 1 pm in Flex Studio Silver on the first floor (Rm. 106). Event is free to attend. Refreshments will be served and all are welcome.

Manuel Saiz is a Spanish artist, curator, and writer who began his practice in the 1980s, working in painting, sculpture, photography, and installation. Since 1995 he has produced mainly video and media installations. Saiz has exhibited internationally at venues including the Whitechapel Gallery and ICA in London, the Intercommunication Center in Tokyo, the Sao Paolo Biennial, and Transmediale Berlin. Additionally he has curated projects for the Tate Modern and Hara Museum, Tokyo. Of Other Faces is the first exhibition of work by Saiz in Canada.
